Traditional Method of Encapsulation
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this method is based on the belief that warming the body—both internally and externally—can help restore energy lost during childbirth. The placenta is gently rinsed with cool water, inspected, and then steamed before dehydration. Some clients request the addition of organic lemon, ginger, and jalapeño to the steaming water for their warming properties. After steaming, the placenta is dehydrated for a minimum of 12 hours or until "snap dry," then ground into a fine powder and placed into capsules. This method is known to provide a slower, steadier release of hormones, promoting long-term postpartum support.

Raw Method of Encapsulation 
The Raw Method skips the steaming step and involves slicing the placenta raw before dehydrating it to a "snap dry" finish. The remaining steps mirror the Traditional Method. Some mothers choose this method for its reported quicker and more potent hormonal effects during the early postpartum period.
